J is for Jello

What a wiggly giggly day for activities! J was the letter for the morning and started out in the usual way. Today though I think Mew had more fun erasing his wipe off book than he did writing in it. They both still did well on the 'work' portion and were excited to move on

We started with Jam and Jelly. I toasted some bread and they each spread some on. Jocie only wanted to use strawberry jam but Mew used both Strawberry and grape jam. Neither one wanted any jelly, and neither one ate any. Jocie did eat a plain piece of toast so I guess that was OK.

They could not wait to get to the JELLO! I again made two different kinds. One was regular jello (fruit punch flavor) and the other was jiggler jello(strawberry flavor and broken into strips, they didn't want to use cutters today).

Jocie was not too keen on touching either type of jello, but she did eventually pick up a small piece and lick it. So, she at least got a taste of it. She said she liked it but didn't want any more and soon left the table. I think it was just a little too much for her today.

Mew, on the other hand, dove right in. First grabbing a fist full and smearing it around. He also shoved a fist full in his mouth. I am not sure he liked it too much though, but at least he didn't spit it out. Then he went to smearing it all over with his hands. Pretty soon he had it up to his elbows and was giggling like a mad man. He had a BLAST! His hands were red for a few hours...oops!

Forgot to add, when we made the Jello, we also substituted Apple JUICE in for the cold water in the regular mix to grab another J for the day:)
